About us.

The Immunohistochemistry laboratory of the Department of Pathology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, is a CAP certified and CLIA licensed provider of multiple areas of service and expertise including:

  • Immunohistochemistry services using over 250 clinically validated antibodies
  • Provides immunohistochemistry services on a wide array of human and animal tissues
  • Services offered on a variety of sample types including formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue, tissues fixed in molecular-friendly fixation solutions, previously stained and unstained cytology smears and cytospins, and cytology cells blocks
  • These same services are offered for research specimens as well as clinical samples
  • Validation of new antibodies for research and clinical use upon request

The Immunohistochemistry Laboratory of the Department of Pathology at the University of Miami strives for excellence in quality of technical performance and rapid turn around time. We are happy to review and discuss our products with our clients and collaborators, including personal reviews of validation series (review of slides), particularly in the case of validation of new specifically requested antibodies. We likewise enjoy providing assistance with research project design and interpretation of immunohistochemistry stains. Our goal is to provide technically sound immunophenotyping for clinical and research samples and to meaningfully collaborate with clinical and research colleges.
