Renal Pathology and Immunofluorescence Service

The Department of Pathology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine Renal Pathology Service provides multiple areas of service expertise including:

  • native kidney biopsy interpretation
  • transplant kidney biopsy interpretation
  • testing and interpretation of Alport disease in kidney and skin
  • amyloid characterization in kidney and other organs (including fat pad)
  • second opinion histology consultation

The Renal Pathology Service offers a wide spectrum of adjunct tests and we strive for excellence in quality of diagnosis, rapid turn around time and individual discussion of consult cases with referring physicians
Our goal is to assist referring physician in managing their patients by providing comprehensive clinico-pathologic discussion and quality test interpretation.
