Tissue Collection

The following cases have been collected and distributed by the Bank:

Autism
Chromosomal disorders
Genetic disorders
Metabolic brain diseases
Mental retardation
Neurodegenerative diseases
Neuromuscular diseases
Traumatic and ischemic diseases of the nervous system

Control tissue from adult and fetal cases

The Tissue Repository includes fresh, frozen, and fixed brain; and systemic organs from patients with the above disorders. In addition, we have cell lines (primarily fibroblastic) prepared and stored at -140°C.

This material is suitable for the following research studies:

In situ hybridization and IS-PCR
Immunohistochemistry
