Prostate Cancer Surveillance Criteria May Not Be Accurate for African American Men

A new study by Oleksandr N. Kryvenko, M.D., a urologic pathologist at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of UHealth – the University of Miami Health System, revealed that African American men with prostate cancer produce less prostate-specific antigen (PSA) and have significantly lower PSA density (PSAD) than Caucasian men.
