Bone & Soft Tissue Pathology

Bone and soft tissue pathology play an important role in the Department of Pathology at the University of Miami.  There is a close interaction with the division of orthopedic oncology and a weekly case review.  Dr. Muro-Cacho, a recent addition from the University of South Florida, is also involved in our consultative process.  We are a referral center for the treatment of bone and soft tissue tumors and are happy to consult on these cases.  We would appreciate a block for immunohistochemistry and all of the patient’s imaging studies for consultation with the radiologists.  Once we have received all of the material, the results of the consultation are available in a short period of time.
