Comparative Medicine Consultation Services

There are many organizations, large and small, that require expertise on animal research related activities.  These activities vary from facility management and design, health monitoring, grant opportunities, IACUC organization and operation, and initial and on-going evaluations.

These consultation services are directed by Norman H. Altman, V.M.D.  Dr. Altman is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists and the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine.  He has had extensive experience in laboratory animal care, research, and administration.  This includes serving as the Vice Provost for Research at the University of Miami, appointment to NIH study sections and council, and serving as the principal investigator on numerous NIH grants and contracts.  Dr. Altman currently serves as Professor and Director of the Division of Comparative Pathology where he has assembled an outstanding team of scientists and administrators.
