Consultative Services

Members of the faculty are available for consultation on problem cases and to discuss test results and their interpretation through Pathology Specialty Services (PSS). The PSS is a laboratory directed and closely supervised by members of the faculty of the Department of Pathology, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. The laboratory offers the highest quality laboratory assays to area hospitals, physicians and other reference laboratories. In addition, members of the faculty are continuously involved in the development and clinical application of new test procedures.

The entire staff of Pathology Specialty Services is dedicated to the expert handling and processing of laboratory specimens. Specific questions concerning specimen requirements, special handling procedures and assay results should be directed to Client Services at (305) 585-5921 or (800) 445-3074 and/or may be reviewed by reading our Compendium of Services. The PSS laboratory only performs clinical tests listed in this document.
